Hi Gemma!
ReplyDeleteI love your story, I think it's great to teach children tradicional tales.
Your play outline is really clear and it's easy to follow the story, I'm sure children from fist and second grade could performing it.
Children can learn different adjectives with this story (hot, cold, sot, hard, high, low)
I like the idea of the chorus so more children can participate in the performance.
Thanks for sharing your play.
Hi Gemma! I love this story too. I have told it some times with puppets. Introducing a chorus will make it easy to adapt the role to a class with a different number of students.
ReplyDeleteYou can also find this tale as Jazz Chants Fairy Tales by Carolyn Graham. Some parts of these tales are great to use in the class.
Hi Gemma! I think you choose a wonderful story. You can add a piece of humour to the story, imagine a different end for the story. For instance the character can sing a song all together (a rap ). It could be fun for your kids and the rest of the class can participate actively.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant work, Gemma! I find this story a fantastic option for level 1 students. Children will enjoy the story, imagining they are a family of bears or that they are the girl living with them... I think it is very appropiate for my students of 1st grade; they could follow it without any doubt!
ReplyDeleteHi Gemma! You did a good job! Goldilocks is one of my favourite stories for kids. I think your play is apropiate for level 1 and kids will learn English using the house vocabulary and adjectives. Im sure the my kids will enjoy to performance it. Congratulations!

This play is about an old tale: Goldilocks and the 3 bears.
ReplyDeleteI think that this play can be performed by students at level 1 as it is about a well known story they already heard and read many times.
The idea of narrators wearing different colour clothes, and the chorus also, repeating the last words, can help students to be alert of wha'ts happening at anytime during the performance.
Maybe the characters (Goldilocks and the 3 bears) have to speak someting as everything is said by the narrators.
